SUMMARY:CAMS-BI Role Play Training
DESCRIPTION:CAMS Brief Intervention (CAMS-BI) Role-Play Training was developed to train clinicians to support the use of CAMS as a framework for suicide-specific risk assessment and treatment in rapid healthcare delivery systems (e.g.\, emergency departments\, EmPATH units\, crisis care facilities and psychiatric inpatient units). \nThis training will present research support for the use of CAMS-BI within interdisciplinary treatment teams. Trainees will practice CAMS-BI in breakout role plays after watching the presenter demonstrate the intervention. \nThis course will also provide suggestions and resources to clinicians to help successfully implement CAMS-BI\, including suggestions for documentation\, using CAMS-BI tin treatment team meetings\, and how CAMS-BI can be used to facilitate disposition and discharge. \nTraining Topics:\n•The research that supports CAMS-BI in crisis systems and across interdisciplinary treatment teams\n•Observe clinical demonstrations of the CAMS Framework®\n•Participate in role plays of the Suicide Status Form as a therapeutic assessment\n•Suggestions and resources for clinicians to help successfully implement CAMS-BI along with documentation best practices\n•The use of CAMS-BI in treatment team meetings\n•Ways that CAMS-BI can be used to facilitate disposition and discharge \n7 CEs available for purchase ($45) from CAMS-care after completion of the training \nLocation: Remote. \nWho should attend? SUMMARY:CAMS 4-Teens Live Online Fall Training
DESCRIPTION:CAMS-4Teens™ was developed to train clinicians on how to adapt and implement the CAMS Framework® and the Suicide Status Form (SSF) for youth ages 12 and older. The training also provides updated information on the nature\, epidemiology\, and prevention of youth suicide\, including a specific focus on reducing access to lethal means and how to work within and across systems of care. \nParticipants must complete the CAMS Foundational Online Video and commit to attending four CAMS Consultation Calls before being assigned to this training. \n4 CEs available for purchase through CAMS upon completion of training. \nLocation: Remote. \nWho should attend? SUMMARY:Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) Fall Cohort
DESCRIPTION:The VPQHC CAMS Fall Cohort has two primary elements: \n1. CAMS Foundational Online Video Training (3 CES AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE)\nThe CAMS Foundational Online Training is a 3-hour unscripted clinical demonstration with a patient through the course of 12 sessions of the CAMS Framework\, featuring the creator of CAMS\, Dr. David A. Jobes. Participants are encouraged to complete the Foundational Online Training before attending the first Consultation Call. \n2. CAMS Consultation Calls (4 FREE CES AVAILABLE)\nAfter completing the Foundational Online Training clinicians will participate in at least four out of eight CAMS Consultation Calls in order to receive CEs. The consultation calls reinforce learning through case discussions with experienced CAMS consultants. Participants who complete at least four consultation calls will receive a free CAMS source book\, Managing Suicidal Risk: A Collaborative Approach by Dr. David A.
