Open to practitioners across disciplines and care settings\, this group offers a space to deepen understanding\, share real-world application strategies\, and build confidence in delivering CAMS-aligned care. \nIn this session\, Dr. Kevin Crowley will focus on strategies for applying the CAMS model\, with an emphasis on understanding direct and indirect drivers and exploring optional CAMS forms. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss challenging cases and receive expert consultation from Dr. Crowley. \nBy the end of this presentation\, participants should be able to:\n1.) Define direct and indirect drivers of suicidal ideation within the CAMS Framework\n2.) Identify strategies for working with clients to identify drivers.\n3.) Explain how understanding drivers informs treatment planning and risk assessment. \nIt is recommended that Community of Practice participants have completed the Foundational Online Video and CAMS Consultation Calls. \n1 continuing education credit approved through the Vermont Office of Professional Regulation for Allied Mental Health Practitioners\, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors\, Psychoanalysts\, Psychologists\, and Social Workers. \nLocation: Remote. \nWho should attend? SUMMARY:Navigating Collaboration with Differing Levels of Risk Tolerance around Suicidality
DESCRIPTION:Approaches to supporting individuals at risk of suicide can look different across the continuum of care. Emergency departments\, inpatient units\, outpatient clinics\, primary care\, crisis services\, schools\, and community programs each bring unique roles\, resources\, and constraints. These differences can sometimes create varying expectations and make care transitions more complex. \nThis webinar introduces a practical framework for understanding how perspectives on suicide risk vary across settings and professional roles\, and how teams can work together to provide safe\, person-centered care and smoother handoffs. \n1 continuing education credit approved for Allied Mental Health Practitioners\, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors\, Psychoanalysts\, Psychologists\, and Social Workers.
