SUMMARY:Virtual Adult Mental Health First Aid
DESCRIPTION:Sunshine Silver Lining invites you to register for a virtual Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course. \nThese free\, grant-funded trainings are open to Vermonters and those who serve and support Vermonters through generous support from Vermont Care Partners (VCP). Each class has limited space (30 participants). \nIn many communities\, MHFA certification costs $100–$200. Through VCP funding\, you can earn your three-year certification at no cost. \nThe goal of MHFA is to build empowered\, connected communities by helping people recognize signs of mental health challenges and respond effectively. You’ll learn a five-step action plan to offer support\, encourage professional help\, and connect individuals to community resources. \nThis training is brought to you by generous funding through Vermont Care Partners (VCP) Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) grant funds. Current grants include The Vermont Department of Health’s Garrett Lee Smith grant\, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Mental Health Awareness Training grant\, and the Vermont Department of Mental Health AWARE grant.

SUMMARY:CAMS Spring Cohort (Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality)
DESCRIPTION:The VPQHC CAMS Spring Cohort has two primary elements: \n1. CAMS Foundational Online Video Training (3 CES AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE)\nThe CAMS Foundational Online Training is a 3-hour unscripted clinical demonstration with a patient through the course of 12 sessions of the CAMS Framework\, featuring the creator of CAMS\, Dr. David A. Jobes. Participants are encouraged to complete the Foundational Online Training before attending the first Consultation Call. \n2. CAMS Consultation Calls (4 FREE CES AVAILABLE)\nAfter completing the Foundational Online Training clinicians will participate in at least four out of eight CAMS Consultation Calls in order to receive CEs. The consultation calls reinforce learning through case discussions with experienced CAMS consultants. Participants who complete at least four consultation calls will receive a free CAMS source book\, Managing Suicidal Risk: A Collaborative Approach by Dr. David A. Jobes. \nPlease register no later than April 10.

DESCRIPTION:Would you give 90 minutes to save a life? NKHS offers QPR introduction to suicide training for adults and caretakers to raise awareness\, dispel myths and misconceptions\, and teach three skills that can help save a life. A QPR trainee will learn to recognize the warning signs of suicide\, how to offer hope\, and how to get help. \nQPR is an emergency response to someone in a suicide crisis just as CPR is an emergency response to a physical health crisis. See the attached Info Flyer for more details. \nWe invite you to register for QPR Suicide Prevention Awareness Training via Zoom. This training is interactive. There is no cost for the training and resource materials for participants thanks to support of VDH.
