Supporting Communities After Death by Suicide: Best Practices and Resources in Postvention

In the wake of a suicide death, communities are often left grieving, searching for answers, and unsure how best to support those most affected. This webinar will provide guidance on effective and compassionate postvention practices for first responders, service providers, and community members across Vermont.

Panelists from local and statewide organizations will share practical strategies, available resources, and real-world lessons learned to help reduce risk, promote healing, and strengthen community response.

Participants will gain a clearer understanding of how coordinated postvention efforts can both support bereaved families and serve as a critical component of suicide prevention.

1.5 continuing education credits are approved through Vermont’s Office of Professional Regulation for Allied Mental Health Practitioners, First Responders, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors, Psychoanalysts, Psychologists, and Social Workers.
